the passing seasons

Can you believe it's fall already? I keep asking myself that question, too. My answer is no, I can't. I really can't. But here we are.

So, I guess I'll happily embrace that unmistakable chill in the mornings and relish the warm afternoons that disappear a little too quickly behind the setting sun.

How about you? Are you welcoming fall with open arms or a stiff upper lip?

  6. I feel like the change has been as abrupt as a equinox suggests--one day summer, the next fall. It means I wear sweaters and even coats comfortably and light leaves earlier each day.

  8. Rosalie and Diana, I couldn't agree more!

Petra, I hope you find lots of ways to stay warm until spring arrives. :)

Alison, I felt the same way. It was such an abrupt change this year. I was hoping we could ease into it just a bit more slowly.

Melissa, the trees have just started to change where we are. It's beautiful. I'm trying to savor it, since it seems to go so fast.
